True love

Ok, so the first picture isn't really a good shot of anyone. In front to back order are Madigan, Liam and Veronica. We just started hanging out with Gen, Logan and their new baby Veronica. Logan is a really sweet boy and Veronica is a great sleeper! Everyone seems to be doing well with two children. I wonder who will be in the race for 3!! I'm out at this point. Gen had her tubes tied when Veronica was born so all money is on the Doucettes! Boy I'm sure going to miss our good friends the Doucettes when we leave. Maeve loves her "buddy" Ronan. She refers to him as Buddy. Now I'm not talking rudy from the cosby show renaming or anything. She knows his name is Ronan but when she sees him she yells, "Hey buddy!!!!" or "C'mon buddy". Liam is cute as a bug too and I'll miss him also. Most of all I will miss Lisa. Not only is she a fantastic friend, she 'gets' my sense of humour. She tells me I say outloud all the things she says in her head! I wish we could take the Doucettes with us!

OK, the first three pictures are what dinner looks like at the Mussellam household! The last two (Sorry about Maeve's hair) pictures are a glimpse at our breakfast time. This is what the girls do while I try to eat something. We crack out the hot pink playdough for Maeve and the plastic tubs for Madigan.

OK, what is wrong with these pictures? Thats right, the baby is on the floor and the big girl is in the saucer. What a little brat! We wouldn't lift her in and she couldn't get into it from the floor so she climbed up the couch, down the arm and plopped herself in it. Jeez, what a little stinker she is! Madigan is doing well although it seems as though she doesn't want to eat food anymore. She will only nurse. Hmm.. maybe teething? Who knows! Oh, and I'm up for worst mommy of the year because both of my children (and myself) were the recipients of AWESOME sunburns today. What a jerk, I can't believe I forgot the sunscreen. Sheesh. I remembered the ballet slippers tho! Today was a much better day than yesterday thank you very much! Peace out beeyotches

Sunshine

Today is a blog in progress. It is 11:30 and here is a picture of the girls enjoying the day! I'll write more later.. its just too nice to be inside!

Today was GORGEOUS! We called Auntie Erin and headed down to Second Beach for a little fun in the sun. What we got was a whole lotta wind! It was sooo windy on the water today! It was great though! Hopefully everyone will sleep well tonight. Madigan, you know I mean you!

So, first picture is Maeve giving her rock and roll sign with assistance from Daddy. The face is "angry face".

Hahahah, Madigan will not outsmart me! Ok, she will and has but today I got the last laugh! I defy anyone to stay awake being soothingly rocked back and forth in a baby swing! Ok, well it wont work for everyone but today, this minute, it worked for Madigan! Bloody growth spurts! they are driving me mental!!
Maeve puts strawberry shortcake pictures EVERYWHERE! Her legs, the wall, her bed really, everywhere! We are going to have a picnic with the Doucette boys! Have a great weekend!

Today.... oooh what a day! Well, really we should start at last night. Maeve woke up crying at 4:30am, cried enough to wake us up and of course Madigan too. The whole fam damily was up crying at the crack of dawn! We took our beloved children into bed with us and blessedly all fell back asleep. Daddy was up and out at 7am to go play hockey. The girls and I got to sleep until 9! We were waiting for Daddy to come back with the car because today is ballet day! We were all showered and set to get Daddy back to work before heading out to ballet when I realized that I had forgotten Maeve's backpack with her ballet slippers and clothes to play in for after ballet. It was too late to turn back and we were already late for ballet. I made an executive decision to attend ballet sans slippers. Of course I was terribly terribly wrong. Poor Maeve went to ballet but dance she did not. She was so upset that I forgot her slippers she couldn't even dance. The poor honey. She didn't cry and she held the teacher's hand until the class was over. I felt like such a jerk. I solemly vow to get ballet stuff ready the night before . Maybe I'll even load it into the car so I don't forget! Poor Maeve. Madigan is doing well. Two teeth are through and I have to admit they have been through for a while I just have no documented evidence! Madigan is chatting up a storm. She mostly says gaa gaa and yeh yeh.. I keep trying to get her to say Mama but so far no takers. I'd love it if one of my children called me Mama instead of Vashti first! It looks like Madigan absolutely adores Maeve its only fair since everyone else does too!
Today I thought we could photgraph Madigan's elusive teethies! No such luck again! but we did get some good ones of the two girls and Maeve took all the ones with me in them! Poor her the subject sucks but the pictures turned out nicely! I wonder if they got Michael's creativity after all? I can hope can't I?

Hoppy Easter

What a nice day we had today. Granny Gracie (pink stripes) invited us over for brunch. Actually, correct that. Granny Gracie invited MAEVE over for brunch and since we are a package deal she allowed the rest of us to join her! It was Granny Gracie's birthday also! We brought some flowers and Granny put on a fantastic spread! Gramma Mimi also scored herself an invite although, I'm not sure how, her children are all grown! Maeve was stuffed full of junk thanks to Granny. Ice cream cake for brunch dessert! My god woman! There was a wonderful easter treat hunt and a nice present for each of the girls! I had a really nice time, I think Michael did too. I KNOW Maeve did! Happy easter sunday everyone!

Hi everyone! So sorry about the lack of postings, or at the very least, lack of origional pics! The Mussellam household has been a flurry of inactivity! I can't get anything done! Here are two pics of the girls at breakfast. I was trying to get a shot of Madigan's two teeth but yet again I have no photographic evidence of their existance! Since we had to get her passport done we did have our Dentist Dr Klein get in there for a look! Dr Klein is our Guarentor! All very confusing and a big pain in the arse! Here are the girls, enjoy your day!

phew, ok so no pictures of Sara/jakies visit because we were so busy I didn't often whip out the camera. No pictures of the ferry ride either, was very uneventful. You would think we would have had hundreds of pictures from the wedding but NOPE. Card was empty and ready for pics and when we got to the reception NO BATTERIES!! Awesome! So, we are going to have to rely on Auntie CaCa, Uncle Jaycie and Gramma Nonie to provide pics!

So in reverse. Night Night sleep tight books with Daddy, not to mention oodles of giggles and Mommy coming in to remind them that it is wind down time not wind up time!
Maeve eating a banana at Riley park. Today was Ballet Day and GRamma Suzy and Great Gramma Mimi came to watch! Maeve had an entire audience while the other parents chatted! Shoulda heard them cheering and oohing and ahhing over her! It is so nice to know how much everyone loves her!

Thank goodness it was such a gorgeous day! Poor Mhari has crappy vancouver weather while Maeve and Madigan bask in the california sunshine! Mhari will have to move here to get out of the rain. It would be great if we heard they were coming here before we head out! I'm sure we'll meet up somewhere tho, Ken and Michael are destined to work together again methinks!

Oops!

Ok ok ok, it was a lame attempt at an april fools joke! Mainly since I thought today was april fools and not yesterday!! The Rhiversons were quick to dismiss my false claims but my family bought it hook line and sinker! This april fools I managed to squeeze tears from my mom, panic from my sister and amazement from my brother Jason! I had a mighty mighty laugh as my mother cried and told me what a horrible person I was! All things considered I'll give this fools day thumbs up! I think my little trick worked better because it was the day after! Gave more credibility! Here are some photos of our Madigan and Baby Jakie! How cute are they?

Well boys and girls, apparently it is that time of year again. Now, what time of year is it again you ask? Well it seems to be Vashti/Michael fertility month. Now, there are those of you that know there has been an outright ban on love making, well seems one of us got lucky sometime 6 weeks ago! So, here is hoping that this one is the Mussellam son Michael and Papa George have been hoping for! I of course didn't want to phone you all letting you know for fear you wouldn't believe me. So, hopefully the proof is in the pudding!

Splish Splash

Tub time = Fun time! The girls enjoy their tandem bathing and I think its cute! Madigan seems to like having a bath with the bath ring! Helps her stay in a seated position for the entire ride! We are well, we are good. Last night we had dinner with Great Granny Grace (pic above), Papa Aunties Erin and Sara, Baby Jacob and Uncle Gary. It was great, they brought our live Rock cod to our table for approval! It splashed in the bucket and nearly jumped out! Of course we said that one was no good and to bring us another! Ha ha just kidding. We had a great dinner and all the children did really well! Baby Jacob is a really really good baby! Maeve had all her ponies balancing on chopsticks with Auntie Erin. Good times, good times!!

All the mighty Mussellams

So today we hit Great Grampa Eddie and Maxine's for a wonderful feast! GG Eddie cooked up a fantastic lamb while Maxine made everything a girl could possibly want to eat! We had chicken wings, pita and hummus, cheese, pickles... man the lady had everything! Everyone got to meet baby Jacob and everyone was in love with him. No one loves him more than Papa tho! Maeve brought along all her ponies and played while she wasn't swiping pickles and it was a really nice visit! Tonight we are having dinner with Papa, Uncle Gary Great Granny Grace and all of us! We are going for chinese and I hope the restaurant knows what is coming! 9 mussellams in full force!!

Today is big visit day!

Ok, so its been a long time since I've updated. Well don't worry because today's update is special! Baby Jacob and Auntie Sara have made it here all the way from New York!! Baby Jakie is great and Maeve loves him! Madigan is snoozing so she is missing out on the love fest but I'm sure they'll be thick as thieves once she wakes! Also included for your viewing pleasure, a snapshot of Madigan's first ever kick at the sandbox! We went to Granville Island with Angela, Theo and Milo! Madigan seemed to enjoy the texture of the sand but seemed to really prefer all the dead pine needles poking out of the sand!! Happy tuesday to you all!

Well aren't I on the ball today. Ok so not really otherwise this piece d'Art would never have happened. Seems our junior picasso enjoys paint as her weapon of choice these days. Yes, another beautiful mural brought to you by our very own Maeve Adera. Fortunately this one wasn't on my watch and Daddy scooped the pic! Some time was spent on the naughty couch and the offending bristles have been temporarily removed! You have to admit tho, it really is a gorgeous piece of work! Damn her for being brilliant and bratty at the same time! I know that years from now we'll look back on this and laugh and laugh. Our budding artist's first masterpiece! Ok second but who is counting!!

Oh how I love crackers! Besides boobie milk I'm pretty sure this is the only thing our fair Madigan would eat if she had a choice! Madigan is doing well, getting big by the day it seems! She prefers to feed herself and 95% of the cracker winds up on the floor! Independence is a common trait in my children. Madigan sleeps in her crib in Maeve's room now. I still can't believe it! She is just such a good sleeper! She went down to sleep last night at 9 and woke for one feeding at 1:30 then was up again at 6:40. It is so much better than her being up every hour! We had to re configure our kitchen seating plan because we are getting rid of the big highchair and Madigan now dines with us!

Happy St Paddy's Day!

Ok, so now you can totally see why the easter bunny should bring Madigan some bibs! Good lord can that child drool! Gramma Suzy made Maeve's gorgeous dress. If you look closely you can see faeries hiding in the flowers. This dress fits her so much better now that she has grown a bit! Right now Maeve is getting her top 2year molars! Poor thing. She keeps thinking she has something stuck in her teeth but really its her new ones coming in! Hello tylenol! Madigan is so drooly because she has mastered the art of the raspberry! She is in her saucer now, shrieking and blowing serious raspberries! I am in love with my children so much I overlook the fact that they both drool! For different reasons of course, Maeve drools when she sleeps but she comes by that honestly! Madigan drools alot, I was trying to blame hers on teething but I see no evidence of teeth yet! I think they must come up and then go back down. Anyway, hope everyone had a great St Paddy day and drink some green beer for me!

Two of a kind

Well, to prove that Maeve is actually alive and thriving I guess I can throw some pictures your way! Today Maeve woke up in a great mood! What a change! I'm not sure exactly what is going on with her, I can only chalk it up to being 2! Or maybe its 12! Who knows! Both girls are doing really well. Maeve loves the stuffing out of Madigan and Madigan worships Maeve. You should see her gorgeous eyes light up when Maeve gives her the tiniest bit of attention! I think Michael and I are in for one heck of a ride!
